Mayan Calender "Experts"
Posted 20 December 2012 - 05:32 PM
I found an interesting video today. It seems that a lot of TV shows, well-known websites, and "experts" on the Mayan Calender are posting pictures of the Aztec Sun Stone and calling it the Mayan Calender. The Aztec Sun Stone has something to do with a new age but it has nothing to do with December 21st, 2012.

I don't see why this is thread-worthy, even with the Caffeine Lounge's standards. Pretty much the only people who believe the world will end in 2012 are idiots. It's pretty much one big huge joke.

You didn't, but my point was that the topic has no value to it. Pointing out that "experts" talking about the end of the world like there's actual merit to it have incorrect facts is like pointing out crazy people are crazy. It's not news and there's nothing to discuss about it. These guys essentially took a group of idiots and said "they're wrong".

Why would you need contraceptives if the world is ending?

Sorry if you misunderstood the thread. I was just trying to point out that people are calling the Aztec Sun Stone the Mayan Calender. I'm not trying to imply anything about the world ending. I'm sorry if you don't think this thread is worth it.

The ignorance of the Mayan calendar enthusiasts has been well-noted. Hard to miss it, really. But thanks for giving us one more example before they fade off into the well-deserved obscurity that awaits them.
Next time, though, we need more opportunities to point out that B9 is in fact a girl (much as she protests to the contrary... she never yet has provided proof in the form of pics hat she is a boy, ergo she's a girl) and that girls are good for something, mainly something naughty, which we can make broader and broader references to until the thread disintegrates.
That, my friend, is what we call fun around here.

Well, you can't be too sure if the world's gonna end anyway...
The implication in your first statement is that people are buying contraceptives because they think the world is going to end. You can remove the primary stipulation of the premise with your next statement when someone points out a flaw.

Next baby boom?
People with the contacts for a mass booty call are also the ones that are more likely to be stupid enough to buy into the mayan calender nonsense. Say hello to the next generation, or a very very rich few abortion doctors.
