As programmers we often have to count to extreme values. One time I had to single step a MASM memory test program to make sure that it incremented correctly. That took all day!
But this guy, Jon, counts all the way to 100,000!

How come? I'd have though you could have deviced some sort of automated test for that.
Personally I have no idea how high I've counted, but it isn't that high. I'd rather waste a day writing a test program than spend a couple of hours counting manually. But that's just me

psh. Merely counting to 100,000 is nothing for this guy who set the world record for reciting the first 100,000 digits of pi from memory. wow.
And also to answer your question I would say the highest I've counted to is probably around 3,000. The reason is that about two years ago I was without any form of transportation other than walking. To pass the time while walking I would count my steps

I counted to a thousand in French back in high school just for practice. I should do that for German. Okay, here goes... eins zwei drei vier...

I think I made it to five thousand and some one year when I was seven and my parents decided going to this big flea market would be a good way to spend one day of the weekend. Not much better to do while walking around with them. If only they'd gotten me that game boy color a year sooner...

Its Icelandic.
OT, When I was a kid I used to count the passing utility poles when travelling. Counted upto 3000 once. I also used to count words which some lecturers repeated. Once a dude said 'okay ?' 200+ times in a class.
