What's your Coding Soundtrack?

Posted 29 December 2012 - 01:25 AM

Do you have anything specific you put on while you code?

I have 3 "types" and largely it's just whimsy...

Techno/House - Daft Punk, Mayday, etc

Classical - Mozart mostly

Music I can feel instead of listen to. This last one's a bit vague, but I mean music I've heard so much that the lyrics don't distract me. Mostly just Green Day and Cat Empire.

I find, for me, I can get into rhythm and focus better with music going, but I'll get distracted if there are lyrics unless it's something I've heard a million times before.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 2

Techno, Trip-Hop, or just random songs that come on Pandora.

Any music I like, really. This is definitely a more relaxing favorite of mine, and I seem to be always playing this song recently. Oh, and true to my name, can't forget this.

I tend to dive into a little bit of classic rock, and end up on some electronica deep sea dive when I really start coding.

This. One thousand times, this.

I also like to kick back and relax with the FFXIII-2 soundtrack, or some Dead by April (it's a band--Swedish Melodic Metal, check 'em out) as of late.

ugghh screw it.. Damn video tags not working or what?

Usually something not too distracting

modi123_1's ninja edit:
the media tags don't like https.. so drop the 's' and you should be fine.

This is a playlist I sometimes use when I'm writing code, if I want this sort of thing.
