I love competition like this, in the end it means better news for us comsumers. Given great reviews, would you buy it? Or are you a penguin thumping anti-Ubuntu linux die-hard?

It's going to use QML for the UI and is NOT compatible with existing android apps. You must use QML for your Ubuntu phone apps.

Eh.. nothing really impressive in the phone OS layout or automagical blackbox concepts dropped out.

If they could figure out a way to allow the use of existing android applications on this(seems possible) then I would be more than willing to get it. Without the initial apps available I wouldn't bother at first.

It will be a welcome addition. I think they actually found a use for their shitty #Unity desktop.
