I find it funny that despite getting warnings from Google, chrome and AVG most of us are still on this site. It's like if you were driving down the road and it had signs warning you you're going to get robbed. Lol.

Anyways, is anything being done to change this?

I'm getting redirected to 'badware' by my browser it seems. Earlier in the week I was getting redirected to various questionable sites.

Looks like its getting worse: Now the actual DIC site is listed as malware and not just the ad sites.

It looks like turning off the fraud warning in Safari stops the pop-up making the site usable again.
But that also means any other site I go to with issues have no warning. Luckily I don't go to many sites that I don't already know from years of use.

Our wonderful webmaster, skyhawk133 has removed the malware. However, in response, he has had to tighten up security around here. If you notice things that are functionally wrong with the site, please post them. Thanks.

Both yesterday and this morning I still continue to get malware warnings for dreamincode.net in Firefox & Chrome. I can ignore, but when continuing to load, the CSS is completely jacked rendering the site an ugly and barely usable mess.

Surprisingly, Internet Explorer gives me no warnings and loads seemingly fine. This worries me.

EDIT: Scratch that. I.E. also having rendering issues. Threads themselves appear fairly normal, but the Header, Navbar, Footers, and right side quickbars are horrendously plaintexted and vertically stacked.

Upvote functionality seems to be broken - I get a popup with "action failed".

EDIT: Well, the action succeeds, after the popup tells me it failed

AnalyticLunatic, this *should* be cleared up. Chrome no longer is giving me errors, and Google relists it as safe. Try clearing out your cache (as we all should) to ensure a proper viewing experience.

jon.kiparsky, yeah I saw that too. Odd.

If its any help, I can tell you that it started sometime between 9 AM and 11 AM PST yesterday.
I left my house at 9 AM, and came back at 11 AM. This was when my antiviral program started blocking stuff - as soon as I visited the site.

Anyways, does anyone know how 13 sites eventually were able to infect D.I.C?

Outdated forum software + high value target = eventually hacked.

Really I'm surprised Skyhawk was able to get this fixed so quickly, so kudos to him and the engineering team. I hope the damage wasn't too great.

Caches in all browsers have been fully wiped. Site is still not rendering correctly.

EDIT: Screenshots using Chrome:

Okay, any idea when the forum software won't be outdated?

04jan13 1100hrs Central time - Explorer, Safari, Chrome

With the exception of a mission component when opened in Chrome rendering seems fine.
Rep +1 still failed action.

Forgive the size: This is 3 monitors side-by-side, at 75% to make it within upload limits
