permission errors that is getting me furious.

Posted 04 January 2013 - 07:54 AM

This is troubling me and I need help with this.

I have a website that was made in PHP. I didn't make it, I just implement it.
I have it on my computer running iis7 with fastcgi. I thought everything was setup properly but then I could not get some links to work. I ran servercheck and it came up with this:
Server Fail

This server is not able to support the SiteGrinder 3 CMS system.

PHP Version Number 5.3.10
POST Data Check OK
File Write
PHP IS NOT ABLE TO WRITE FILES
FTP User Permissions
PHP CAN'T EDIT FTP USER FILES
PHP Folder Permissions
PHP CAN'T WRITE/EDIT/DELETE FILES
PHP File Permissions
PHP CAN'T WRITE/EDIT/DELETE FILES
File Extension Check
PHP CAN'T WRITE/EDIT/DELETE FILES

Can someone tell me how to fix this? I've given read/write permissions to every folder and I still get this.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

Have you tried giving the PHP files full read/write permissions?

perhaps not giving permission to the files but to the folders... try to give permission 777 to all folders you have to write to.

If it's the same problem I had then you should try moving the folders to My Documents and change the ownership to your account.
