Considering that the US spends more on its military than most of the rest of the world combined, I wonder if you want any of the spending cuts to be military spending. I'm always amazed how Republicans are always looking to cut domestic spending — spending that helps Americans — but always want to increase foreign spending, usually in the form of a war that ends up hurting most Americans while a few get richer.

Of course, when Republicans are in charge we're told that "Deficits don't matter" or "We'll grow our way out of it"!

Just because one party had a bad idea it is ok for the other party to have the same bad idea? Blast Bush for his reckless spending, but don't act like a child and yell "he did it too!" when asked to stop.

Yes, I want the military spending to go down. Along with most other spending like foreign aid, entitlement programs, business tax breaks, etc. It will take a cut from both sides to get spending in check.

Well I don't think spending money on Americans is a bad idea. It actually goes along with the Republican idea of growth: spending means growth, cuts mean recession. I just don't like where they want to spend more (Wars, tax breaks for people who kill jobs), where they want to cut spending (infrastructure, health care), or how they increase my taxes (cut federal taxes and then payments to the states so my net taxes increase). It's all very anti-American.
