Lay off lordofduct, P4P. I have yet to see you make a post that is sensible or in any way worth reading. By all rights, I welcome diversity to the community, but you... well, I just plain don't like you.

Yes, I know... You're the one always clicks that damn red button. You're not a very good shill because you don't say anything and rely on numbers to deter opposition.

I've noticed a lot of shilly arguments in the gun threads and so forth on this site. No doubt we've got 'em.
Doubt it. Perhaps the odd Microsoft or Apple apologist ( no money in Linux ), but that's more a hobby than a vocation.
I'm not sure this is really the right venue for such interests. Well, not the actual meat of the site. The Lounge? Honestly, if you're trying to mold the minds of would be consumer/voters, you'd do better with 4chan. Look at the flack you got just for posting.
Guns? No... people can feel strongly about something without any extra prodding. Once someone feels strongly about anything, logic is pretty much done. In fact, once a strong opinion is formed, counter opinion, regardless of merit, seems to only strengthen the currently held opinion. This does a lot to explain politics in general.
I'm not sure how effective a shill might be, really. At least for politics. People in such places already have an agenda. Consumerism is far more fluid, unless a firm branding bias has taken hold. Enough people give the daily widget the thumbs up, the better it does.
