That does not surprise me. I've always been more interested in what corporations like Google are doing.
I've known a few people who in the passed did some digging into software of theirs like toolbars and found some pretty interesting things.. Let's just say I don't install web browser tool bars for a reason, nor do I like the idea of using a browser provided by such a sketchy company.
I'm a .Net developer though, hoping to get into the windows phone. I think I'm mostly interested cause I'd like to develop on something that doesn't just stay home.
I tend to create tools for myself, and most of them I need on the go. That being said If I could develop right to a phone I wouldn't have to create a middle man web application for my needs lol. Just been far too lazy to switch from this ol' Iphone.

This makes me glad I use ordinary computers. With firewalls, VPNs, encryption and other tools I can employ if my ISP starts losing their mind.

Anyways, so it is a security and privacy invasion in a way. But since this has been brought to light isn't there any central rule against it?
