AI movement in plain Math

Hi,

Im a sound designer who is creating a Game-Like sound experience. It's programmed in something called Max by Cycling74. My next step is to introduce more movement. When searching for how to make a wandering AI for a game I'm only finding descriptions in code, i want it in formulas and math so that i can implement it, and understand it better.

The "game" is gridbased and functions much like a top down 2D game. There's no walls or anything that you'll have to avoid.

So is there anyone out there who want to help me out here :)

There is a reason for that- the algorithms are designed to be implemented in code, which is what it sounds like you're trying to do. The related math is generally based around proofs. In which case, you would probably find the best information from Algorithm Analysis class notes, or AI class notes.
