Hi i am a final year computer science student tryna think of some good project ideas for my dissertation. My interest and future career path is database administration so any ideas that can help me protray my skills to potienial employees without seeming too basic would be much appreciated.

Seems to me the first task in writing a good dissertation is "think of a good topic".

If you can't do that, you're kind of not getting anywhere.
