Well, I guess the simplest difference would be that Editplus doesn't point out errors in your code while Eclipse does.
P.S : As Eclipse is an IDE, you will have the advantage of an intellisense environment, as in it helps you write correct syntax code as you type...which is not present in a text editor like EditPlus.

Eclipse is an IDE. EditPlus appears to be a text editor.
