a couple months ago i read a intro to C++ book and since then i have wondered what to do to improve my C++ knowledge,
i don't know what to write or learn so if someone could help me out that would be great, and is memory management very important?

I think that Ryano121 basically said everything that needs to be said about improving; write something. However, I'd like to add that you should aim to write something (not just one project, obviously) challenging, even very challenging. Don't just write programs that you know you could easily do, go write something you don't think you can (yet). Also, try to concentrate on something that you will enjoy doing, otherwise it will probably just feel like a choir.
