How to create .DAT file in C++

HI to all,
I wanna know how to create a DAT file in C++ ,i want to create a DAT file that stores DATA in it taken by users and after that how can i retrieve that data. I am a student and C++ is new to me kindly tell me about this.

You probably should start by studying this tutorial: Basic File input and output.
