Sending a automatically mail at a specific time.

Hello

So I am currently working on a website/system that will keep track of jobs for a company and then send a mail automatically whenever a job is comming up. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can do this?

Thank you!

Yes I red about that. Is there another way to do it? Something that does not rely on another program.

Well php is a triggered server side language, right? You need something to do the triggering. Be it a script, app, or something... but the key is you need *something*.
