I once heard a rumor that there was a service that would allow someone to rent out their server to a rental company who would pay you for letting them rent it out. I know I said that kinda poorly so....
I own a web server and I rent it to company X. Company X then rents out the server space to clients.
Does such a thing exist?

Hmm.. I haven't heard of anyone subletting out a personal webserver. Seems odd.

I've heard of renting rackspace. Never the other way around.

I think the problem would be in trust. When it comes to servers most companies would prefer to rent a server from larger web hosting companies directly. If you are offering your server for rent, the customer who will pay you for the server must be sure it will work well and stay stable.
