Error for Invoke(); method on Windows 2012

Posted 29 January 2013 - 08:28 AM

I use UIA API for testing. I just ran a test on Windows 2012 and it fails when clicking on a button at Invoke()method with error: "System.InvalidOperationException: Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object". This test works just fine on older OS-es. The button seems to be enabled. Any ideas for the problem?

Typically, with the server editions of various Windows OS, the entire "desktop experience" is not available by default, which would mean that some of the needed infrastructure for what the UI Automation needs may not be present. I'm not in a position to do that research for you right now, but basically you need to determine if the full UI Automation is supported on a "server core" configuration, and if not, what needs to be installed to get the support. I only managed to look as far as the API documentation that says the API is supported on Windows Server 2012.
