Hey guys, i wanna design a website for a client which requires them to vote under several categories.... I have searched for a lot of scripts including limesurvey, askpeople, actionpoll etc but none of them actually do what i want... So i have resulted to coding it myself... Problem is that i am not very good with php.....

Another problem is saving the votes... I do not know how to do this so that the variables can be stored and accessed by various users at different times with various sessions, but i dont know how to do this... any help???

Would you explain what you want to do more clearly? Are you asking to make a site that provides surveys and stores the results, or are you asking for a site to go out to other sites and take their surveys?

I plan on writing it myself... Its sorta like a personal project....

For example... FIFA wants to create an avenue where people can vote for best players, best striker etc.. with nominees.. They store the vote counts somewhere

You shouldn't be picking up jobs if you aren't 100% sure you can complete them. Jobs are not meant to be your own paid education.

If you can't figure out where to store the votes, much less how to build a voting system, then I think you should come clean to your client.

That's what I thought. As it is we cannot condone cheating the system which, from the last time I checked considers this cheating, and I will ask you do not pursue this inquiry here. I am going to close the topic and you are free to send me a PM if you need clarification.
