What language?

Hey, guys! I am new to the website, so If I do something wrong, I am sorry. But I need help with choosing a programming language to make a simple 2D game. I am a beginner, so something simple. It might be sort of a RPG game. Any suggestions?

RPG games are not simple. If you are a beginner, you are not ready to learn how to make an RPG game quite yet. We have a ton of which language threads if you search the forums. Learn how to program first and get a good grasp of the basics, then proceed to write games of greater complexity as you proceed. Games like blackjack and rock-paper-scissors are great games for beginners to write.
