This is NOT VB6 code, it's VB.NET code.

Please learn what language you are developing in and post in the proper forum.

Moved to VB.NET.

Are login and signup both forms? If so, which form has TextBox1 and TextBox2? Or are there separate ones on both forms?
Which one are you trying to clear? Doesn't TextBox1.Clear work for you?

I'd like to help, but I am having a great deal of difficulty figuring out your code. The controls are not given meaningful names, and your description of the problem is hard to figure out.
