question, why are the numbers quoted? (INT values are usually passed unquoted, unless the data type says string, but that would be a DB design error)

Ok, fixed the quotes.

However I'm still left with the original problem.

do you get something out of $query->errorInfo() ? otherwise you would have to look up the SQL error number.

Gives me the same error.

I've Googled the error and read every post and entry I can find on it and none of them help either.
