I'm planning on an independent study project next year at my high school, as the Computers I program our school offers continuously did not get enough people signing up for a classroom, and now has been taken out of the Course Guide entirely. Originally, the course did basic knowledge of the Java language and Object-Oriented Programming, and I am planning on studying these.
I have selected the following websites for textbooks:
http://math.hws.edu/javanotes/
http://www.cs101.org/ipij/
And these for other resources:
http://docs.oracle.c...avase/tutorial/
https://www.khanacad...gramming-basics
http://www.dreaminco...java-tutorials/
http://www.eclipse.org/
However, I am unsure of what a proper assessment of my ability at the end of the course would be, and was hoping some of you might have ideas.
Any input on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
