I'd like your opinion of my website.

Rateing my domain name polishedgames.com

Rateing my website, and my custom cursive title i made in flash.

The banner/logo isn't cursive. That's just block letters. I am not really a fan - I mean if you are going to make a custom font then cool - but consistency.

The site itself - pretty meh..

A few things that annoy me.
- the menu doesn't have an indicator on what section you are on.. color the text, leave a marker, or someting.. but let me know where I am after I click a nav button!

- the banner doesn't link back to the main page.
- I don't get the grass footer thing..
- I don't get why the first page the grass footer is clickable to some game and then elsewhere it is not.
- In IE I see some purpleish thing under the nav bar.. that is missing in FF.
- I don't get the purpose of hte purplish bar.
- I don't get a sense of a unified color theme.
- the games themselves lack any description which doesn't really intice me to play them.
- the 'home' page tells me nothing about the site.. why it is here, what is its purpose, etc.

I certainly hope you are not making each of those pages up by hand... if they are the same format make 'em a php page and just load on an id from a database.

Over all not bad, but it needs a whole mess of... polish?

You would be correct, i made it the most painful way you can think of. Unfortunately, i know only basic html/css and i dont plan on going any further into web development.

Haha, i would have to disagree about them looking like "block letters", however, they aren't fully cursive either, but i thought they leaned more towards the cursive side. Thanks for the feedback though, i just made it quickly in Flash, but i plan on making them look "fuller".

It does, actually, once you click on a game from the menu, you will see the game title followed by the date of publication and images.

I'll look it over, again.I thought the burgundy title color, with the burgundy striped image, and red off the flowers had a nice ring to it.

This concerns me, because the grass is a part of the title header image, and not a part of the menu at all. I'm using IE and Firefox, and they both work fine on my end. The flowers should NOT be click-able at all, and they aren't click-able on my end when i visit the website.

Is this what you see?

Yes, my website isn't complete. Thanks for reminding me to fill in those parts though.

Also, what you you think of the website name polishedgames.com, on a scale of 1-10(bad-good)?

It does, actually, once you click on a game from the menu, you will see the game title followed by the date of publication and images.

That's not what I am talking about.. typically, when you click on 'home', or 'the carnival game', or what ever in your nav bar that icon changes to indicate where you are.. sure there may be something in your page it pulls up that says that, but common website actions would say you change the color of the text, button background, or throw a little icon near it to show that is where you are.

I am not seeing the grass as part of your header in your picture.. or mine.

I have no idea what the name is in relation to what is there. Is it a studio name? Just a descriptor of what evs you have there? Is the site going to be a 'how to'? I don't know. So.. I guess 3.
