varia_mahesh@yahoo.com,
I have written a tutorial that shows the basics of interacting with a SQL server in C#. It shows how to connect to the server, how to retrieve data from the server. Adding, editing and deleting is just a matter of a different stored procedure than the one for retrieving.

It would be exceedingly helpful to have a "starting-in-the-basement" approach to programming in the .net environment.
Perhaps I should begin documenting my journey from sys engineering geek to dev geek.
At least I have the geek part down in any case.
Ya know that's not a bad idea. I will begin using the subject noob question of the day followed by the date in the discription. After a certain point in time, I will run a search, pull them all together cronilogically, with the answers, edit/culminate and .pdf the whole thing. Hmmmm.
Works for me. Let's see how it goes.

I noticed the quote
"Let's face it, most computer users have the brain of a Spider Monkey"
Bill Gates
In your sig.
I want to know where to get mine. I mean if everybody else has one, I want one too ... And where does everybody keep them. I mean really ... If most computer users have 'em, you would think they would have a "Spider Monkey Brain Closet" or some such thing to store them.
And what do they use them for anyway?
Ok, I'll try to warn you next time I attempt any humor. sorry.
You betcha, I'll simply supply the noobish questions (elequently phrased) as I face them. Considering that I am right about at square one, it could just work.
