My Toshiba Satellites left click has just decided to crap out and no longer works. Tapping the trackpad doesnt work either. Right click and moving the trackpad does work though.

Er.. so it sounds like you answered your own question by affirming the left click doesn't work. Personally I would find that annoying and would hopefully check to see if I spilled something on it, try uninstalling the driver for the touchpad and have windows auto install it again on reboot, think about tearing down the laptop to inspect the trackpad, or just getting a bluetooth mouse for it... but that's just me.

I would boot off a live cd, like a Windows boot disk or a Linux live cd, & verify it's the hardware & not the OS. If it is the hardware, it's very rarely that there is a separate button under the bezel. A quick search on eBay would show available parts & get you a good idea if you are replacing the bezel or the motherboard.
If it is a verified hardware issue, easiest solution : buy a USB mouse.
