Ye ol' TI-99/4A

Posted 25 February 2013 - 04:02 PM

Out of nowhere today I was reminded of an old computer my family used to have, the TI-99/4A. I remember just booting it up and typing in the console thinking I was some sort of hacker like I seen on tv. We had the extended basic cartridge and the corresponding book, but unfortunately I never really grasped anything ( probably had something to do with my very poor math skills at the time.)

Anyway, I was just curious if anybody else remembers or even had one of these things, and if you actually programmed on it.

Here's a link to some tech specs and a picture.

I remember those things. I had to use them in Elementary school...but never programmed on those. Probably because I was to young at that time. lol

Although we did not use it much, I think the drives were shot or something. We spent most of our time programing the schools led sign or that old Hero Robot :)

Don'''t forget to check out this archive:
Staring the Computer

They have lots of great pictures!
