Using SDL with VC++ unable to start correctly: 0xc000007b

Posted 17 March 2013 - 10:00 PM

I am having issues using SDL in Microsoft Visual Studio Ultimate 2012. I dragged every file necessary for setting up SDL with MVSU2012. I tried to debug my code:
#include "SDL/SDL.h"
#include <iostream>

int main(int argc, char* args[]){
	SDL_Init(SDL_INIT_EVERYTHING);
	SDL_Quit();
	return 0;
}

and got this error
The application was unable to start correctly: 0xc000007b

I even set up the Addition Dependencies in the Linker Options of the project using SDL.lib;SDLmain.lib;

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

Hi

The application was unable to start correctly: 0xc000007b

0xc000007b is a bad disk image error.

Try cleaning the project and rebuilding.

If that does not work use CHKDSK to see if you have any hard drive errors.

Snoopy.

Also if you are compiling for 64 bit, but using a 32 bit DLL, you'll also get this problem. Vice versa is also true: if you are compiling for 32 bit, but using a 64 bit DLL, you'll also get a similar issue.
