I had Fallout 3 on the 360, no problems. NV froze on me on the pc though.

I had Fallout 3 on the PC and it worked fine. F:NV completely failed on the PS3 though. After looking it up online, it seemed I wasn't the only person with that problem either, and not just with F:NV, but it also kept happening with other Bethesda games.

Well, I already got my jimmies rustled first thing this morning. Got to work to find somebody stole all my wire and dumped the trash boxes over looking for scraps. Asshats.

Boss is taking me out to lunch today. Something about being 3 weeks ahead of schedule all the time. :) Anyway, celebrating another IVI Compliance Package release and more drivers from me.

Somebody needs to work on their scheduling algorithms. Surely you could get a little better at predicting actual time-to-complete?

No, he's working on the Scotty principle.

If it is going to take a week, tell them a month. Then they think you are a miracle worker and take you our for meals and stuff.

Be careful though Dogstopper. If the meals start being accompanied by candlelight, you've done too good a job at being a miracle worker.

I'd rather buy my own lunch than pretend to enjoy lunch with the boss. (a boss, by definition, being a person who has to pay you to hang around with them)

Hahaha. I actually told them my estimated time, and they replied with "that's it? Surely not." At which point, I finished roughly when I said I would. They have been giving me all the random side projects while I get my main one shipped. They have 3 new ones coming now. :helpsmilie:/>

Also, my team is really cool, and I would LOVE to get lunch with them more (especially if it's free! I had Lobster and cheesecake!)

Surely with the scheduling algorithms working properly, he is doing something right by estimating an extra three weeks!

I know that "side project" feeling.

Lead: "Hey, X in Operations asked for blabla. Can you do it?"
Me: "Yeah."

A couple of days later, it's a thing. Now they're all freaking out because I put in my two weeks' notice yesterday.

Me: "Just so you know, I put in my two weeks' notice yesterday."
Lead: "Fucker."

I honestly don't know what I would have done otherwise. I cleared our entire support request queue and upgraded three more that I found problems in all in the gap between my last project and the one that hopefully arrives tomorrow. Right now, I'm building a custom RS232 cable to talk to a REALLY old piece of hardware.

I wouldn't mind doing that. My current job has me doing next to nothing, which isn't terribly rewarding. New job pays more (and I'm moving from a senior position to an entry level position), is closer to home (10 minutes on surface streets instead of 20 minutes on the highway), and has better growth potential (based here so I don't have to move halfway across the country to advance in the company).

Looking forward to having stuff to work on again.

Yikes, yeah, right now in Austin, the morning and afternoon commutes can be absolutely killer (similar to Atlanta but not AS bad). Fortunately, I live close enough I can get to work in about 5 minutes and home in about 7 by using bypass roads.

I feel you on the not having anything to do thing. Since I'm an intern, my school enforces that I have to have interesting things to do at all times or they can pull me out of the program, which is a very nice incentive.

Best of luck man!
