autocomplete="off" in chrome

Posted 02 April 2013 - 07:57 AM

Our site sets autocomplete="off" on login name and password - this has been working fine since we set it, in all browsers. Today I go to sign on to the dev site, using chrome and my login information is autompleting. Now, I'm looking at the server and no relevant files have changed, but updates ran on my machine this morning when I signed on, so my browser behavior may have changed.
Two questions:
1. Is anybody aware of any recent changes to chrome wrt autocomplete behavior?
2. What are or where can I find the most current best practices about preventing autocompletion of passwords? (Yes, I'm aware that users can override this with browser extensions, but our requirements say we have to prevent autocompletion)

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0
