Static Routes

Posted 12 April 2013 - 09:35 PM

Hey guys,

So I configured my network with the following:

1. Cable Modem - connects to WAN
2. Asus Router - Connected to modem, broadcasts a 10. range of IP's
3. NetGear ProSafe firewall VPN router - connects to Asus and broadcasts a 172. range of IP's

I am trying to connect the following to the following:

Personal PC connected to Asus router assigned a 10. IP >> Server behind Netgear with a 172. IP

I know I can create a VPN connection or configure static routes, however the VPN seems too overkill and overcomplicated, and I'm not sure how I should key in the routes to effectively make these machines think they are on the same network.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you guys.
