Yes, that is what I am; a lurker.
You see, I am overflowing with desire to run wild and create things as my imagination sees fit;
however, I also have an awful habit of doing more observation than creation.
Part of this is due to the fact that making my presence known makes me nervous,
so although I may be better off asking questions, getting feedback, etc.,
part of me just won't do it. This is something I'm working on.
This post is a major step, yes it is!
On the other side, I'm mostly just a dorky girl who dreams of creating games
despite the lack of coding experience. I had focused all of my energy to art through high school;
it wasn't until recently I realized I love games more than I love comic books or animation.
I've never had any friends who are in this field, so it's mostly up to me to learn the ropes.
It's exciting and scary at the same time. It may be a rough road but we all have to start somewhere;
that's my philosophy.
My favorite type of games are those that are relatively casual and laid-back (cue ridicule).
I'm typically a Nintendo nut but I enjoy series such as Disgaea and MMOs as well.
I guess you could say my favorite genres are simulation or strategy RPGs.
My preferences in games probably reflect my personality rather well;
I don't like competition, I'm pretty laid-back, but I have patience and persistence flowing out my ears.
I'll wrap this up by saying thank you in advance to the community I hope to be more involved in;
You'll probably do a lot of helping me getting through obvious mistakes and trivial problems in the future.
That is, if I can manage the gut to ask for help, haha!
