Just delete this line:

 <style="white-space:nowrap"> </style>

It doesn't do anything apart from creating errors in the HTML.

Note that the for attribute of a label refers to an elements id, not its name.

Of course, fixing the HTML won't, on its own, cause your page to render the same in all browsers (referring to your original question). It just means, as I mentioned, that it is more likely to behave the same in different browsers. That is, if there are errors in the HTML, how different browsers might react to these errors cannot be predicted.

Andrew, I have alreday tried to delete it, and when I validate again I get even more errors, With line in I get 7 errors, 3 of which are on that line; if I delete I get 17 errors connected to the lines below!

14 of them, new ones are like this:

</div>

Line 42, Column 25: The for attribute of the label element must refer to a form control.

I'm lost, but I understand you can't carry on forever with this theread.

Thanks.

So what are some of these new errors? You can't just keep something in just because it creates fewer errors :dontgetit: :)

Yes, as I mentioned in my previous post, the for attribute of labels must refer to a form-elements' id, not its name. Give your form-elements ids, which can be the same as their names.

Right, I've taken out that line. Can I di something simple ti the "for" like taking them out to solve the 14 new errors?

I'm sorry but I am very new to this and am learning the hard way.

Why did you put the for's in your page before understanding how they work?

What hard way? Have you not followed a tutorial, to understand the fundamentals of HTML and CSS before attempting to create a web-site??

You could have spent those six weeks taking tutorials in HTML and CSS.. html dog .. and you would now be in a much better position to create a web-site :whistling: (and you wouldn't be so disheartened!).

But, good luck. Andy.

According to my knowledge, you are facing Browser Compatibility. Please check your all Doctype files are working fine. It will help you to find out your problem

I know you are coder and coding your own website. It is difficult to find the problem but you must need to search out one by one function to find out what is problem with you....

Hi. Thanks for replying. In fact, I managed to sort out most of the problems yesterday by decyphering the comments of this thread, and today I found out that the major problem was with the way margins behave in different browsers. I've adapted the script and it works nearly 100%.

Thank you anyway.
