I like espresso, I like espresso a lot.

Black, no sugar, just straight espresso.

I got an espresso at Starbucks. The very 'shot' they put in their drinks that are 90% milk and sugar.

Their coffee is disgusting. It's burnt, awful, dog-piss.

That is NOT good coffee.

If you like espresso, try the aeropress. It's not espresso, but it makes something very like it, in a hand-powered machine that you can keep in a desk drawer. A great way to avoid crappy office coffee (if that's a problem for you)

(I've been very disappointed with the quality of the espresso shots I'm seeing the schmancier coffee joints - there's a fad for extremely acidic coffee in the last few years, to the point where the really hip stuff tastes like a grapefruit rind - I think that the coffee cognoscenti and I are parting ways)

COMPLETELY agree with this. Starbucks ruins coffee for me. Espresso also helps make the world go 'round.

Looks like a french press, just modernized. I got a french press, as well as my trusty stove-top espresso pot.

I don't drink a lot of coffee though. It's more of an after dinner drink for me. Some people have ice-cream for dessert, I have an espresso.

Totally agree.

I do like a well-made shot after dinner. Whether it's espresso or a single-malt depends on many factors, but both are perfect at the right times.

I don't always coffe, but when I do it's the most non-coffee coffee I can find... that is unless there's a Crane Coffee in a fifteen minute driving radius and then it's the Crane Special. Just like college with the exception of dialing back the extra expresso shots.

Crane Coffee Special
Espresso, steamed milk, chocolate, caramel & hazelnut, whipped topping

Agreed. Dunkin doughnuts, in spite of all their other sugary crap, still sells plain old coffee. Note, they sugar their creme, so if you like dairy but not diabetes, watch out.

Starbucks coffee makes sense when you understand they don't sell coffee, but coffee flavored candy. Charbucks straight is a carbonized tragedy that even the French wouldn't put their name to. However, you take that and put a few shots in some milk and sugar, and you get the essence of most of what they sell. It almost tastes like a form of coffee when you cut it would enough candied dairy. Almost.

Bone dry cappuccino all day everyday. I usually try to find indie coffee houses; Folks at Starbucks don't seem to know the difference between a cappuccino and a latte.

I go to this place called Green Beans Coffee. They tend to be EVERYWHERE the military is and, well, depending on your server, they make excellent White Mochas.

It's not coffee, it's powdered cardboard from those cup handles that they mix the caffeine dregs produced by decaf with. They did say they recycle those, they just didn't say how.

I've been trying to take my caffeine down a notch, so just tea with the occasional Monster.

Depending on how much work has to be done, or if I've been switched to another shift, I'll have a Red Bull to keep me awake. That's one of those moments where JUST coffee alone isn't enough.

I've been on a Caribou k-cup kick. Their Caribou Blend and Mahogany are both really good. But I don't like to start the day on Mahogany, that dark of a roast is too much for me at 6:30 am.
