problem with permission to push to a remote repository

Posted 21 April 2013 - 06:51 AM

I am having a problem pushing a backup of a project to a remote git repository based on a linux laptop. How can I make this work?

A copy of my windows console is attached so you can see what I tried

I ssh into linux and removed the existing folder. I created a new folder and changed the permissions. Then I create the git repository. I exit the ssh session and then I tried pushing the project and it almost worked.

I have solved this problem now, I shh back into linux, change the file permissions recursively after the git repository has been initialised, exit the ssh session and push to the remote repository
