Netsh firewall add/delete portopening - netsh firewalladv ?

Posted 21 April 2013 - 09:39 PM

I am using windows 8.
I am trying to write a batch program and one of the features is closing ports.
I use this command and get told the command is deprecated and syntax is incorrect.
It says i should be using netsh advfirewall
netsh firewall delete portopening TCP UDP 23

I have done lots of searching but i havent come up successful.

All i want is a simple command to close ports from batch.
Thanks :)
