Sharing database entries across different platforms

Posted 22 April 2013 - 01:01 PM

I am faced with a problem trying to share information across different platforms.
I have one software application built in C# and another using OpenERP.
I need to be able to push and pull data from one data base to the other. The OpenERP uses XML-RPC protocol.
The C# program is using Microsoft Sql server 2008.
Can anyone tell me how I can read and write data to/from the OpenERP database with my C# program and do the same with the OpenERP program?

Thank you in advance.

So you looked into this, right?

http://doc.openerp.c...C_web_services/

I mean sat down and read it, understood why they advocate this webservice, etc?

I am new to OpenERP.
For the C# program to access entries in the OpenERP database would it be easier to create a link to a WSDL on the instance where the webservices are installed.
