missing data environment

why my vb6 dont have data environment i tried to go project and idid not find my data environment .. where can i find my data environment ??? can i download it or not ??

I understand it should be available from the Project menu, Add Data Environment. If not, then select More ActiveX Designers and select Data Environment.

it is also missing .. i go to project menu then more activex designer but i dont see anything .i just saw microsoft form 2.0 form ..can i use that ??or where can i find?

If you don't see it under there, you maybe missing the file....

Look for a file named MSDE.DLL
It should be in C:\Program Files\Common Files\designer

If it's not there, you'll need to extract it from the VB install CD. Then use the command below to register it.

If it is there, register it again. copy and paste this command into Start>run and press enter:

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\designer\msde.dll"


**Not my solution - credits to original source. Also be aware of the program files path, it will be the (x86) variant on a x64 machine.

i did not find MSDE.DLL it is missing ..can i download MSDE.DLL?
