WDCalendar - Change which table information is pulled from

Posted 29 April 2013 - 06:49 AM

Hi All,

I have recently tried using WDCalendar and have been trying to work out how to get it to get information from a different table in a mysql database.

I have manage to get it working perfectly in the default table but when I try using a different one it says that it cannot load the data.

In order to try using a different table I changed all the instances of jqcalenar (the default table) to the one I chose, in all the files used by WDCalendar. I know that the username and password used to connect to the database are fine since the default table was also in the same database. I also cloned the original table and simply gave it a new name, so I don't think that it will be a problem with the table structure.

If anyone has any knowledge on this and can help it would be much appreciated!

Cheers,

ZLifanar

then you probably have to modify the PHP backend accordingly to map JSs data requests to the new table.

ok, you have 3 parts in your application:
+---------------+
| 1. Browser |
| +-----------+ |
| | HTML, CSS | |
| | jQuery | |
| +-----------+ |
+---------------+
      | A
      | | (HTTP)
      V |
+---------------+
| 2. Webserver | (TCP) +--------------+
| +-----------+ | <----- | 3. DB server |
| | PHP       | | -----> |    (MySQL)   |
| +-----------+ | +--------------+
+---------------+

now, you have changed the DB server part by using a custom table. therefore the requests from the webserver to the DB server must be changed accordingly to satisfy the requests coming from jQuery (which you cannot change). hence you need to modify the PHP code.
