Search / Adv. Search not working

Posted 01 May 2013 - 04:22 AM

I tried to use the Google custom search bar today, and it didn't work. Then I tried the Advanced Forum Search function, and that didn't return any results. I even tried a common phrase -- "Rep", but no results came up.

It could just be that my connection is slow (or those gremlins that I fed after midnight), but I wanted to let you guys know. Just in case.

I think it has been disabled until the site has been 100% migrated and the bugs ironed out. Or it has something to do with the snippet security issue.

Quick workaround until it's fixed

That's actually a workaround for every site. Google has several not-well-known search modifiers like that. Google is usually better at indexing a site's content than the site itself, so I almost never use a site's built in search.

Should have been more specific that the site:URL address applies to every site.
Here is a little list

That's a handy little cheat-sheet.

Well I'll be.. The quick search isn't quite working, but the advanced does as is the in-forum search on the bottom left!
