Wait -- the real toys are able to be modified and molded to how ever you want?--- that's pretty cool...some of those images look like they we produced with those body shapes.

Honestly went through a whole mess of different ideas (green lanterns, batman, jeeter, harley quinn etc) and flopped on an old school Herbie the Husker. From there I blew a lot of time getting stupid detailed, but stopped and figured, "If I was to be painting a real munny and wanted a detail and color scheme that was a solid representation, but not so nuanced that I could f' it up - how would I go about that?".

Thus this was born (after six revisions).. Maybe scaled too much detail out, but I think it works.

Awesome! It seems this is a bit more of a tricky when folks are not just slice'n and dice'n images for a sig!

I most definitely agree with you on this. It is much more difficult for a beginner, as I am, to create something from scratch rather than cut images and add effects.

I had fun with this and am looking into getting a Bamboo Connect and learning how to use my Microsoft Expression Design correctly.

Wacoms are stellar. I have a big ol' intuos3 I use quite a few times a week. It replaced my 'testing the waters' bamboo graphire.. which now occupies a dusty corner of my closet.

I've never mucked with MS Expression Design.. it's always been photoshop, illustrator, corel painter, and a bit of Artrage and Autodesk's Sketchbook.

Though I have to say - my hand thanked me on the size upgrade. The small notecard size of the graphire was okay, but became difficult trying to do larger strokes.
