HLSL: Voxelizing/Legolizing an object

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to create a voxelizing/legolizing Geometry Shader.
Problem is, I don't really know where to start. I know how the process of a GS works though
but does anyone know some more information on the internet on creating this kind of effect in HLSL?
