I haven't had time to pick one up, but there are a ton of accessories for it now.

I've got one, but I haven't done anything with it yet. I've been considering making it into an arcade machine, but really I have no idea what I'm going to do with it. For $35, it's worth just buying and playing.

If you are looking to pick one up today - I would recommend Sparkfun.. they are starting their 'charity mondays' where 10% of their sales that day go to a charity.. today is the EFF.

The way it works is like this: Today (5/20/2013), 10% of all SparkFun sales will be donated to a non-profit chosen through a vote by SparkFun employees. The organization we’ve chosen to be the recipient of today’s funds is the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

I'm in the UK so it's cheaper to order from a UK retailer.

In Agile, you have a project 'board', a whiteboard usually, where you track tasks undertaken in each sprint. I made an electronic task board, so instead of tracking tasks on the whiteboard, you track them in an view of our internal JIRA project management software. To do this I used a beta version of Chronium that supported SSL certificates for authentication, on an XFCE4 Raspbian Linux image.

The second one is going to be used as an XBMC media center device. A friend wrote this custom plugin which authenticates on the internal BBC archive, so we can stream any TV content that has featured on the BBC since 2007, via the RPI and onto our TVs.

Mine is currently just being a media server but I have had a few ideas of things I would like to do with it. I'm just too lazy to actually do them... my current leading idea is to combine it with several Arduinos and cheap radio transceivers to make a distributed sensor network for my house with the Pi being the controller with a shiny GUI. Eventual goal being to control the heating on a per room basis with potentially complex rulesets and the ability for it to learn the characteristics of the house (something like the Nest but with per room sensors and control). Of course, this will never happen because I keep getting distracted by other projects :)

I have one but have not used it for anything substantial but for $35 why not get one? I recently saw a article in which the raspberry pi has been incorporated into glasses similar to the google glass for under $100. Not a bad deal.
