DevExpress TimeEdit TimeSpan Value

Posted 20 May 2013 - 12:31 AM

Hello all, I've been trying to use TimeEdit (DevExpress 11.2) in VB 2010 in conjunction with a Time(0) field in SQL Server 2008. However, I keep getting the error message saying that VB fails to convert datetime to timespan. I can't get to work it out. Does anybody know how to convert the TimeEdit editvalue (it's DateTime) to TimeSpan? Or, if I have to create a descendant of the TimeEdit, can I do it using VB 2010 and how? Please, kindly do not tell me to use C#. Thank you in advance.

A quick google search turned this article up. Even though I don't know this subject well, it looks promising.

The code there is C#, but I'm sure the same concept applies for VB projects.
