MDK and Prince of Persia for the PC are two of the first games I remember. Not sure which one I came across first though, probably MDK.

The original Mario Bros for the NES. I also distinctly remember the donkey kong game and Yo! Noid

Let's see... I'll name a few. I recall playing a PC (Windows 95 or maybe 98) game called Reader Rabbit when I was 3. That's almost certainly my first game. When I was 4-5 I played some Pajama Sam on the PC, along with some Star Wars game where you control a droid that you build. At 6 I played some Lego Racer and a Star Wars racing game, and my first console (XBox) game was Ty the Tasmanain Tiger. And after that, I played some airplane games by Novalogic... their F-22 game was (and still is, I think) pretty awesome. A few years later, at 10 or 11, I would go on to dedicate my life to RuneScape (off and on) until the middle of high school.

Cool topic. I rarely think back on stuff like that. I'm not much of a gamer anymore. I don't think I have the capacity to be addicted to anything anymore after quitting RuneScape. But I play some Halo 4 these days, along with Minecraft or Guild Wars 2 on the rare occasion.

Frogger, and I'm not even sure what the system was I played it on. I was about 4 or so at the time, so around 1984, and it was one of the precursors to the Amstrad CPC464's generation of computers.

First game I recall completing was Treasure Island Dizzy on said Amstrad CPC464 (with monochrome monitor) when I was about 9 or 10. I always remember being really annoyed because in order to collect all of the coins you needed to finish it, you needed a cheat to get onto the menu screen because you needed 30 coins, and there were only 29 in the game that you could access without cheating. It took ages, and, of course, on the CPC464 there was no save function.

My first arcade game was this helicopter game where you had to rescue POWs and maybe shoot the little angry guys running around? I don't even remember liking it, per se, but I pumped plenty of quarters into it. My first console game was Their Finest Hour: The Battle of Britain. It came preinstalled on the shiny new 386 machine my parents bought.

Duuuuuuddddeee! Can't see your screenshot at work, but I googled it and I think you're right! At least that looks closer to what my memories from 23 years ago look like than anything else I can find...

I am pretty certain it's choplifter. See if the arcade cabinets bring back memories. Shot enemies.. avoided crap in the air, and had to hop jump (with out squishing the POWs) to keep back the enemy. Solid Sega game.

Yeah, that's it. Man, I killed a lot of POWs on that box.

EDIT: Don't tell me that's your arcade box?

First game I remember playing was the terribad Pac-Man port on the Atari 2600. Soooo baaaaad.

Scratch that, it was actually Pong. My grandfather had one of those consoles with the two sticks built in that you rotated left and right to move the paddles up and down. I remember we had it plugged into a 10-inch black and white tv in the basement. That was probably 1984 or so.

Probably not, unless modi also runs chasingthechuckwagon.com/

I remember a lot of hours on the Atari 400 playing Star Raiders. We had a couple of other games, but that was always my favorite.
Then I discovered Adventure and Zork and it was all over...

But asking a silly question and waiting for a reply is better than CopyURL, right?
