Is it safe to delete files in my "Temp" folder?

I know this is a programming website but if anyone has any insight on this topic it would be very helpful to me.

Moving from 'site support' to 'software support'.

Mostly - yes.. that's the whole point of a 'temp folder', right? A single place to drop files that you know you won't need permanently. IF you are concerned (and I think this is on a windows machine, right?) - open up my computer.. right click on your hard drive.. go to properties.. disk clean up.. and select the 'temporary files' and have the OS remove them.

Generally, yes, that is why they are stored there. But rather than deleting them yourself it is better to use a tool such as Piriform's CCleaner, or even Windows Disk Cleanup (if you are on Windows) to do the deleting. I assume they can tell if a file is currently in use and will not delete it.

If you did want to do this manually, for some reason, then ensure that all applications are closed before you do this (just as a precaution).
