How to clear loaded TLF text

Posted 10 June 2013 - 04:35 PM

I am creating a Flash Website using TLF text. When I play the movie, the TLF text will load just fine. WHen I click to go to the other TLF text swf, the perviously loaded TLF text is still visible, creating an overlap that will not go away for the duration of the movie. Here is the code of the child swf
import flash.net.URLRequest;
import flash.net.URLLoader;
import flash.events.Event;
SoundMixer.stopAll();

var content_req:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("puppies.txt");
var content_ldr:URLLoader = new URLLoader(content_req);
content_ldr.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, onComplete);
function onComplete(event:Event):void
{
puppies_txt.text = event.target.data;
}

On the main timeline at the particular frame, the code reads like this:
this.stop();
SoundMixer.stopAll();
import flash.display.Loader;
import flash.net.URLRequest;

var my_Loader:Loader = new Loader();
my_Loader.load(new URLRequest ("puppies.swf"));
addChild(my_Loader);

How do I fix this?
