Pretty flexible here, but I usually end up with "Oregon formal" - clean jeans or Carhartts and a shirt with buttons.

The dress code is verbose, but is basically comes down to collared shirt and no jeans or sneakers.

We have casual Fridays which, ultimately, means you can wear jeans and sneakers. I have a collection of Hawaiian shirts and silly t-shirts for Fridays.

I work from home. "Casual Friday" means I couldn't bother changing out of PJ's.

Pffsst.. if that was the case then 'casual fridays' would mean pants optional!

To be specific, I using a modified form of this:

My department is mandatory business casual. We get three days/year that are classified as "dress-down days" - one is a community clean-up day, one is an office spring cleaning day, and the other is the last day of work before we shut the shithole down for two weeks over Christmas. Even then, they prefer you to wear a t-shirt with company branding.

This time of year, I wear a lot of khaki capris and long skirts. In the winter, I wear dress slacks and cardigans. Cuz ain't nothing says hot, sexy, single hogrammer like elderly librarian gear.

My answer now wouldn't be relevant to the topic, but when I worked on base as an engineering aide it was a loose business casual. Most days I could get away with jeans and a tshirt, but they would prefer slacks and blouses and things.

Right now I'm in shorts and a t-shirt with trainers. Usually I wear t-shirt and jeans and sometimes I'll wear flip flops. Given my boss is the owner of the company and rarely comes in I get away with a lot.

Whenever I'm in the datacenter its jeans and a t-shirt, steel toe boots are mandatory as we've had several interns drop equipment on their feet.

As for monthly and client meetings, suits are mandatory.

Only on a programming forum will you see "Free rein == no pants" as opposed to "free rein = no pants"
