[news] jQuery 1.10.2 and 2.0.3 Released

Posted 03 July 2013 - 08:47 AM

Today jQuery posted that they have released new versions of jQuery library, 1.10.2 and 2.0.3.

jQuery.com said:

It’s nearly Independence Day here in the USA, so we’re delivering something fresh off the grill: jQuery 1.10.2 and 2.0.3. These releases fix a few pesky bugs that have been reported over the past month, but the list is refreshingly small. Since some of the bugs spanned both the 1.x and 2.x branches we’re releasing new versions of both to keep them in sync.

See this blog post to see bug fix links.

In case anyone is wondering about the core differences between the major versions, 2.x no longer has support for IE 6/7/8. Aside from that it is business as usual for the code. So, any web developers out there thinking of moving to 2.x might want to consider conditional <script> inclusion of 1.x based on the browser being used.
