An interface contains only the signatures of methods, properties, events or indexers. A class or struct that implements the interface must implement the members of the interface that are specified in the interface definition.

Actually, this is an interesting question: which interfaces are built-in inherently as part of the C# language and which one are part of the .NET framework? My cursory scan of the C# Language Specification doesn't seem to have an explicit section listing interfaces, but by looking up keywords like using or foreach, I would find that the spec would make note of the behavior in relation to interfaces like IDisposable, IEnumerable, etc.
