Hi all! I'm working on an article which details what engineers, software developers, designers, or really people of any technical background think about recruiters. Because people with these skill sets are so valuable and in such high demand, I'm sure many of you have encountered headhunters or unprompted outreach from recruiters. If you guys could give me some examples of things you found particularly annoying, or on the flipside, flattering, about your communication with recruiters, it would really help me out. As I'm sure you've gathered, this article is intended for recruiters, so who knows, maybe your feedback will inspire one not to use one of your pet peeves! Even one sentence will help. Thanks!

side note - interesting corporate office you folks have. Though your blog doesn't lend to searching back posts or seeing anything more than the current fare.

The most annoying thing to me is when they call for a programming language I don't have on my resume, or my dice account and it is for a city halfway across the country.

I heard recruiters can be useful and shouldn't always be shrugged off. Is this true?

Well duh, yeah. Just like every developer is not some incomprehensible nerd-babble-burbler. There are good recruiters and there are bad.
